Newsies Live- The Bottom Line (Reprise)

The King's Academy, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence with a Top-5 Nationally-Ranked Fine Arts Program, recently performed the high school premiere of "Newsies" on its main stage in the Page Family Center for Performing Arts. Starring senior Kyle Martin (Jack Kelly), senior Chris Pappas (Crutchie), senior Clay Hider (Davey), and sophomore Olivia Cornett (Katherine Plumber), this musical is said to be one of TKA Theatre Co.'s best.

TKA’s Conservatory of the Arts, a two-time American High School Theatre Festival award-winning fine arts program, is led by Mr. David Snyder (Artistic Director, Musical Theater, Department Chair), Mr. Nathan Adams (Vocal Arts), Mrs. Cathy Higgins (Dance- Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz), Mr. Douglas Gawriljuk (Dance- Ballet and Modern), Miss Sarah Fahey (Theatre Arts), Mr. Brad Majzner (Stagecraft), Mr. David Skinner (Instrumental Director), Mr. Wes Lowe (Assistant Band Director), Mr. Patrick Clifford (Strings), Mrs. Macey Norton (Video/Digital Arts), Mrs. Lauren Moxey (Visual Art), Mrs. Stephanie Grasso (Elementary Choir, Woodwinds), and Mrs. Robin Phillips (Piano).

This, right here, is the scene where I feel Joseph goes off the deep end, Manipulating Jack into getting mad at his daughter, guilt-tripping him for letting Crutchie get caught and threatening him with not just Davey's fate, but also Les's, and even using their family's emotions to fully trip him up. I consider this his Moral Event Horison - at this point, Pulitzer goes from selfish to downright *evil, * and I love it.

How did that guy get a Prize named after him?

I don't really like his interpretation of the character. I feel like Pulitzer should be outgoing, carry himself with utmost confidence and have a ton of sass. Thats what im trying to put into my schools production of newsies.
