Mark Aguirre, Bill Laimbeer and Isiah Thomas walked off the court in bitter defeat those guys displayed poor sportsmanship I do remember other Pistons players Joe Dumars, John Salley, Vinnie Johnson shaking hands with the Bulls players

I love Mike man and you know what I love Isiah too. I watched those Bulls teams lose to those Piston teams before they broke though in 91. I hope that one day these dudes all of them Mike, Pippen, Isiah, Barkley and anyone else will get over their little petty differences and find peace with each other! It shouldn't take one of them being on their death bed for them to wake up and realize that life is too short to be holding on to these silly little grudges the way they are.

I think Thomas' view on the subject is skewed by the way the other teams like the Celtics reacted to losing to the Pistons, and thinks that what they did was the norm. No, the Celtics walked off specifically against the Pistons, but congratulated other teams, because of the Pistons style of play.

But he's right, Laimbeer led the way and was the instigator, and he followed as a teammate. Laimbeer was pissed at MJ for some comments he made regarding the Pistons, so he wouldn't have shaken MJ's hand. Isiah chose to go Laimbeer's way, while Dumars and Salley went their own way, by shaking MJ's hand.

So basically this guy threw his tesmmates, the Celtics and the Lakers under the bus in order to justify his actions...just own up to it!

That’s not sportsmanship, Because Mj respected Isiah’s game and when isiah won mj shaked his hand. But when Mj won he didn’t shake his hand.He had to follow laimbeer but John Salley, Joe Dumars, And Vinnie Johnson shook the bulls hands. That’s great sportsmanship

Search the YouTube browsers for "MJ shake pistons hands" or some similar phrase. You will see MJ shake the hands and congratulate the Pistons for defeating them in several prior playoffs. In fact, during one of those years the Bulls fans applaud the Pistons defeating the Bulls in Chicago.

And that's why MJ is still disgusted by Isiah until this very day. Its not just the walking out that's the issue. It's Isiah's deception, his unrelenting smugness that is the issue.

Had Isiah simply came out soon after the 91 loss and acknowledged that he let the moment get the better of him and returned the courtesies that MJ and the Bulls had previously given to him and the Pistons, this thing would have gone away and Isiah very likely would have been on the 92 Dream Team.

I just don't know what the big deal is about not shaking hands?... Makes no sense... who was complaining about it? Jordan...that's why it's a big deal but so what? You won, move on; you complain when you win? Makes no sense. I'm proud the Pistons didn't shake hands and in my opinion, it was a peaceful protest along with being swept -- the Pistons laid down to step aside and walked off because of how the league was trying to destroy the legacy of 'The Bad Boys' only to promote Jordan and the marketing machine of Nike, Gatorade, and McDonald's along with other companies who were in the Michael Jordan business.

Zeke and his BS tried to pretend he wasn't "leading" it because he wasn't in front. But once Bob asked him was he the one that said let's go to the team, it was a different story.
