We are build this stock 1971 VW Super Beetle into a baja bug. People say it can't be done, we are going to prove them wrong. In this episode we go over our ebay / facebook marketplace craigslist parts proving that you not only can do it but you can do it on a budget.

Those old baja tires were actualy fine they are in abut the same conditon as mine and they take the abuse fine

We did a light restoration on a white super beetle a few years ago as a flipper.

Sound like you can use a Hard Start Relay kit. It will fix that starting issue right up. Great project, by the way, Super Bajas look so awesome.

Did I miss what size tire the rear is?
Smart to have them smaller, mine is running 31’s on the rear with a 1600 and it sucks!

You will need a pretty rare super beetle baja kit or mad fiberglass skills. I think they are still around but might be a little expensive.

There’s nothing special about a super beetle. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. Put a new starter bushing in it
