Hey mate, i stumbled on your channel by accident, great content and thanks for the Video. I was looking for some fast implementation of a local model and most things were actually wild with setting everything up. The problem for me, almost every setup needed to throw different versions of everything together and you will still have problems with compatibility. I understand english but im not a native speaker, so if it gets really complicated, i struggle a little 😅. Keep up the good work. Maybe we can all exchange what we experienced. I tested some models already and the main difference for me is the needed context or prompts. Its interesting how the output of the same questions will go in absolutly different directions

A bit new to this stuff. I do have decent hardware to run LM. My question is will I be able to find a uncensored ChatGPT to help me write code? I’ve been using the free one with social engineering tricks. But I figured if I had the uncensored maybe I could get better results.

Do you know of a way to attach a RAG and/or context text files to a server launched through LM Studio?

I was able to use the default "tool-trained" model that LM Studio prompted me to download, in a server, and then modify their sample python chatbot (from the tools documentation) to return a dict keyed on file paths and the values being strings of file contents, and using that, the model was able to reason about an XML parser/conversion tool I wrote a couple of years ago in C#. So this might be a way to work-around the issue that they don't apparently support RAGs in server mode.

But it would be nice to have some GUI to just upload the files, like you can do in chat mode. Maybe it's there, but I just missed it.
