Wanted to add some clarifiying points - You can run Network and Protect in the cloud, but Access requires an onsite UI controller that supports it, and the camera for numberplate recognition needs to be connected directly to the Access Hub to access that function, it can't just hang off a switch elsewhere. The recognition is genuinely fantastic, even at night - but no Alexa, G Home or Siri integration at this time. And yes, by the time a plates been cloned and turned up in a grey car you could probably just hop over the fence - the main reason for the gates is to stop the dogs running on the road 😂

someone's probably getting the idea of cloning your plate... 😭

Haven't watched your content in quite some time, subscriber from ago when you were just starting out doing wisp. So great to see how far you've come, truly shows how much hard work pays off. I can only imagine the sacrifices you've made to get there man. I kinda recognise the house tbh, it's good it's got someone to take care of it. The new wall and railings really smarten it up. Kudos to you man!

What stops a crook from cloning your numberplate to get into the property?

Nice work. That networking setup in the loft hurts my eyes though.

THIS IS AMAZING

Sadly, Germany is a bit strict - regarding saving pictures of random people and cars.
Its not even allowed, to record the open street - a pedestrian could go by and does not want to be filmed...

Great setup. I just don't understand why you mounted the intercom onto the gate pole itself. Now anyone arriving by car (not recognized by the camera) has to exit his car in order to ring your Intercom. Also whenever your plate is not recognized (dirty plate, bad light) you also need to exit your car in order to enter your code, use your dongle.

I used to think Ring doorbells were impressive and then you topped it up with this lol. We need a tour of your place soon!

2 questions,
1, can you use GEO fenceing to auto open the gates?
2, do you have the Amazon code changing after every use?

Hi mate. You mentioned Lee but no company. Who installed the gate? Also do you know a company that can install this AI/Gate system? Looks amazing but way to technical for me!

Thanks for the video, we need more content on the Intercom and Access line and how it ties in with Protect. I just set up an intercom on an apartment building, so I'm happy to start getting first hand experience with the Access line.

Great video! First time watcher and new subscriber. I'd recommend you migrate to using the fiber connection between your gate and house so you remove the potential for lightning raising the voltage level into the copper and then damaging the electronics on both ends. I've had that happen at an office at work, so we now only run fiber between buildings. Alternatively you could install some lightning / surge suppressors to go in-line on the copper. It will require a grounding connection at your rack as well.
