JS8Call QSO Party
Показать описание
Howdy folks!
On October 19-21, there is a Jamboree-on-the-air event happening (JOTA) and it looks many of the stations will be operating JS8. To help drum up some activity, and inspire future ham radio operators, we'll be running the first JS8 QSO Party.
The JS8 QSO Party is not a contest, but a chance to get on the air with JS8 and make some contacts. Whether you like a quick exchange or a long rag-chew, this event is for you. We have a lot of great, patient operators in the group, so the environment should be very welcoming!
The event will last from Friday evening October 19, and run through Sunday evening October 21.
The event is not a contest, so all amateur bandsare open for use. Now might be the time to break out your 30m delta loop or 160m downspout or 10m bed springs!
If you want an "exchange" to send to each other...talk about the antenna you're using and how much power. Or, maybe try dialing back the power and go QRP. Or send a weather report. Or talk about your children/grandchildren/pets/car/etc. Or talk about your favorite knot you learned when you were a scout. That's the freedom we have here with JS8. Talk about whatever want!
I hope to see some of y'all on the air! Let me know if I can help in the meantime!
Cheers!
Best,
Jordan / KN4CRD
