Lyrics:
I swear the bells of every chapel
Were ringing the day that I met you
From high in the trees, birds were singing
Singing of you and me
From deep in the crowd, you were glowing
You were glowing without even knowing
From way over here it looked crystal clear
You were the one for me

But life it ain’t so simple
No life it ain’t so kind
You know life could lead you somewhere to be all alone
You're cryin’, cryin’, cryin’
I swear the bells of every chapel
Were ringing the day that I met you
They were ringing so clear
But you couldn’t hear
Your heart could never be mine

I swear the lilies of every valley
Were blooming the day that you touched me
When you took my hand there you told me
One day I would understand
But now I’m much older, suddenly I see
Just what you were talking about
Still from way over here it looked crystal clear
You were the one for me

But life it ain’t so simple
No life it ain’t so kind
You know life could lead you somewhere to be all alone
You're cryin’, cryin’, cryin’
I swear the bells of every chapel
Were ringing the day that I met you
They were ringing so clear
You couldn’t hear
Your heart could never be mine

But life it ain’t so simple
No life it ain’t so kind
You know life could lead you somewhere to be all alone
You're cryin’, cryin’, cryin’
I swear the bells of every chapel
They were ringing the day that I met you
They were ringing so clear
You couldn’t hear
And your heart could never be mine

Her voice sounds like something recorded back in time. I can see the old country folk listening around a record player in one room together. Granny rockin in the chair knitting and Grandpa smokin his corn pipe. Pies coolin on in the window sill, and bees buzzin in the garden.

Always amazing. I will say, Josie’s voice and Fiddle are noticeable when gone

Love this song, your voice, your guitar playing and that outfit. Josh is a great mandolin player. The bass player is good too. Good luck, Sierra. Stay grounded. Walk in nature when you can. Breathe deeply. Mental health care is more important than ever for you as your career speeds up as it is doing. Remember that a lot of people send you goodwill and love. ♥️🕯✌🇨🇦

I could listen to this lady sing until the end of time. Upright bass is so smooth with excellent tone. Nice mandolin solo. I do miss Josie on this one.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again. National treasure that men would fight and die for! Keep the live cuts coming. 🪙

This is one hell of a woman, from the top of her head to her pinky toe. Boy American Citizens are truly privileged for being on the same land as a queen of the voice such as this. Well done Miss. Well done.

What a voice. I’m a metal guy and just heard Sierra tonight for the first time on a reaction video. She’s absolutely incredible. This song is so good and so Sierra, too. Love this woman’s voice, style and music. 💜💜

This was always my favorite of her newest record. It’s so damn catchy, and sad while sounding so happy.

One of if not ‘the’ best voices out there, great range and great phrasing.

Thanks for posting this one. These Jaan's House recordings are great! I've seen three; if there are more you should release an album. Particularly good mandolin solos and playing on this one Josh Rilko!
