Man! His performance of this song in a special guest appearance on the Luke Cage show from Marvel was epic!

What the heck is it about Gary Clark Jr? His music is so simple and so ridiculously interesting. His vocal and lead/rhythm phrasing, theme and variation, are simply perfect. God must love the blues cuz He sent us Gary Clark Jr.

Gary is the real deal. I am disabled so I was lucky enough to sit in the front row at his red rocks show a few years back. My time is short. I am so blessed to have been able to see him perform live.

There are people who play The Blues then there are those that FEEL The Blues. There isn't a single song of his that feels forced. Every chord speaks to the soul!!!

Eric Zapata. Unjustly outrageously underrated. What a beautiful soulful player

As soon as I saw the "tele" the memory of another great bluesman, Mr. Roy Buchanan (rip) came to me

What I like about this guitarist is how loud it is. It's blues at the right volume. Rock my soul brother.

I can't express how it pleases me to hear Gary playing a Tele.

Mr. Clark's Music takes me to a place where there is no ugliness I am white and went through the segregation in the 60s my ancestors do not make me proud of their greed and superiority of other races including the American Indian and other indigenous tribes in other continents your inner soul shines through your music and I'm very glad I found it thank you

I always love Gary's tone, but I was struck immediately by the sound of that tele. The man has tone for days.

Gary has the most hair rousingly authentic guitar sound to come along since Hendrix. With that wailing, liquid voice, this young man is the complete electric blues package. And he can pitch some very tasty soul for those wholike it as well. You can hear echoes of Curtis Mayfield in that smooth tenor delivery.

5:20-5:27 I could just feel the Albert King flow through those fingers on that riff. That solo was just thing of beauty

Muddy, Hooker, BB, Prince, Jimi and all soulful guitarists before Lives ON in this man!! He's a Prince and a King, literally! Love him. Thank you Gary for heeding the call!

this might be my favorite blues solo on the internet. Gary just sits in the same fret position for the entire thing, but absolutely nails the tone. sometimes less is more!
