I like how Bubblegum’s grown out of her history of tyranny and control, and has finally learned how to
be a normal, happy young person. That Simon“_ is said more cheerily than any other line she said in the entire series.

I find it so hilarious and charming that these two are both like 1000 years old but they're both biologically like 20, so they're doing stuff that ~20 year old couples would do despite having centuries of life experience. That's a big element to why Bubbline works as well as it does.

Man, this scene hits hard.

Even though Marceline loves Simon and clearly wants him to be in her life, she’s still obviously moved on with her relationship with PB and doesn’t really have as much time for Simon anymore. And Simon, being the loving father that he is, doesn’t want to get in the way of his “daughter’s” life.

It’s sad because there’s no bad guy here. Simon is just stuck in a depressing situation. Feels really poignant as an older sibling who struggled to contact younger siblings when I was lonely.

I love the idea that a vampire can't get a tattoo because of rapid healing. I don't know if that's how it'd actually work, but it's a really funny idea. Also love the irony of their matching tattoo was a purple heart with a stake through it.

More Bubbline is always welcome. I really love that scene. It's hilarious how they're trying to get matching tattoos but are both physically unable to, so they're just trolling the artist. It's so cute.

I dont really understand why some felt irked over Marceline and Simon on this scene. She of course loves him but she cant be a part of every moment in his life, they certainly already spent their moments together since Simon has been a human now for over 12 years.

With that said, yes maybe she could have asked, but its likely she has no idea of what is going on inside his mind, perhaps he keeps a façade in front of her, to not bother her with his problems.

Something I hear nobody ever bring up is how Marceline is over 1000 years old, yet she still remembers and loves Simon for raising her for only a few years, basically the blink of an eye in comparison to her life.

Its funny they’re acknowledging the twos biology (well technically absorbed soul for marcy) Pbs skin being made of gum so sharp objects get suck and Marcy has her healing factor and the way the Tattoo artist gets so angry is legitimately hilarious

And I agree its very nice to see these two I love their characters(who apparently might actually have a daughter later down the line because during Mini Peps story in distant lands you can see a student in the background that looks very uncannily similar to Marcy)
