What a time to be young! I was a child in the late '70s, not old enough to dance my nights away in platforms under a mirror ball, amid strobe lights. Even so, I definitely could FEEL the vibe of this era in the music & general zeitgeist; we all rode the crest of a beautiful wave that broke in late '81. And it never returned, except superficially, within fashion. But its spirit has departed forever.
