Yes, do more videos on this topic. Most of us would turn on these features and never look at them again. Now that our Internet speeds are getting faster, it's easier for intruders to siphon off data from our network without us noticing because the high bandwidth hides the activity.

The Unifi Cloud Gateway Ultra has 1 Gbps routing with IDS/IPS. It's the perfect gateway for the home and small business networks. So, it would be nice for Willie to use this device to show us how to use it for IDS/IPS management.

This was an excellent video. There are a lot of people online who feel that IDS/IPS is useless because they operate under the false pretense that SSL Inspection (HTTPSi) is required...

Some residential routers come with 2-way ips/ids like the asus ax-11000, it also features a great qos system so for the price is better than my udm pro that only has basic qos.

I also adopt wazuh to reduce any chance of attack, you can also use it to perform actions when bruitforced access to services is tried via firewalls...

Hi Willie, wonderful topic, I am new to this topic, and have wondered how different or effective are IDS/IPS system in regular home based router (like Asus), smb sector (like UniFi gateways) and higher end hardware dedicated firewall like Dell SonicWall subscription based?

Am using the Dell SonicWall TZ400 with yearly subscription for office but wondering if we can switch to UniFi gateways?
