Stephen Lett and Tony Morris can't agree on Jehovah's Witness motivations for preaching

(Rebuttals Sushi no. 489 - Reviewing the 2022 Annual Meeting - Part 2 of 2) It seems Governing Body members Tony Morris and Stephen Lett aren't quite on the same page as to the reasons why Jehovah's Witnesses do their preaching and whether any death threats are involved.

Apparently the impending doom and meet your god moment is so close, the WT just announced that JWs can spend even fewer hours preaching to qualify as either a regular or auxiliary pioneer. Yes, such urgent and critical work preaching the good news, but now you can do even less of it each month and still retain the title of “pioneer”. What a “loving” provision. LOL!

I'm no bible scholar but the one who "kissed God's son" was Judas who betrayed him! 🤔🙄

They love to terrify people...with FOG.( Fear..obligations and Guilt). Its typicall for high controll cults. Thank you Lloyd...you, re helping so many of us! ❤

Maybe it's both? I mean, how could I not love such a wonderful God who will straight up murder me if I decide to take even a few weeks off from his forced labor?

I'm so much happier not being in that cult! When you take a step back and think critically about JW doctrine you come to realize the cheer craziness of it all.

When Jehovah looks at Tony's hand what will he see? A tumbler of whiskey of course.

Look at this gold watch, the pinkie ring and the gold clip on his arm. This is a "spirtual" organization,

I can’t help but wonder if members of the governing body reason to themselves that if the end doesn’t come soon it won’t be their problem anymore since by then they’ll have died of old age.

I was born into this cult 1961 and am so emotionally screwed up in my heart..I remained until I was 21 when I was disfellowshiped and finally told them to leave me alone..They punished my mother with holding fellowship with her blaming her kids for the reason. On my mother's death bed she still believed and still could not show her love to us because as she always believed it would hurt less for her to lose us at Armageddon if she did not get close to us..sad...Was really a mind twisted idea to live in a world but never be a part of it..I feel at times this cult took away my mother and her love through their mind manipulation of only having death to look forward to if you didn't follow their rules..

That moment we all step back and realize at one point in our life...for however long...we were part of this dumpster fire of a religion *COUGH* I mean cult.

I haven't watched this video yet, but just from the thumbnail I can tell you the actual reason for JW preaching. It's money...for the church coffers.

Kinda reminds me of the “we don’t baptize young children because they don’t know what they’re doing” while at the same time “look at little brother so and so ...8 years old and getting baptized in a bath tub during lockdown”

I did read about the things Stephen Lett is talking about in the November issue of Never Gonna Happen Magazine

He's just relishing the "fact" that people will be killed by these hail stones isn't he?

After 29 years as a JW I left approximately 7 yrs ago.
Looking at him holding his grey bible, it reminded me of the year that they were published / released and it was announced that Special Pioneers etc, would receive theirs first but the rest of us would have to wait. I remember thinking that must be a reward for all the hours in the ministry they were doing, but it sounded like a bribe and unkind,
I haven't looked into your channel since I decided to leave, and it's nice to see that you are still holding them to account!!

One convention in Ireland I attended with my young children, an elder from my congregation at the time was giving a talk. He said in his talk that without a doubt if Jehovah's servants don't read every watchtower and awake magazine from cover to cover each week we receive them then we won't enter into the kingdom of God. That unrealistic expectation traumatized me and my 'unbelieving' husband at the time thought I was mad sitting up all night reading every magazine cover to cover in fear 😢

I love Mr Morris the Third (Lord 'elp us) asking, "does God see blood on your hands?", if you haven't gone out on the ministry for a few weeks, showing that God will just have to kill people you haven't spoken to, and it will be your fault. God's position in this matter shows him to be a murderous narcissist; that's if he exists, of course, which he doesn't. The leadership love such a God because it instils fear and enables them to control the rank and file
