Debate: South China Sea tensions flare up

Tensions have been flaring in the South China Sea region over territorial disputes between a number of countries. As China constructs islands in contested waters, a top US diplomat has said the US is not neutral when it comes to ensuring all parties abide by international laws and protecting freedom of navigation in international waters. Let me put this out bluntly. It is not just about dispute of some islands' ownership or sovereignty, or even free navigation and use of the East and South China Sea, or even economics, it also has a lot to do with politics, that the U.S. won't willingly accept the rise of China, so it continues to try holding onto its big boss position in the world, including Asia. But what is Asia without China? Without the U.S., Asia is still Asia. But without China, there is no Asia. Uncle Sam just won't step back and gracefully pass the number one baton to China, and that's part of the reasons why there is tension in the East and South China Sea. Uncle Sam won't let any country become number one, not just China in Asia, but how long can the U.S. remain number one in the world? Forever? And how? By going to war with China? By printing more money and creating more fiat currency out of thin air? By borrowing more money from China? What if nobody wants the American Dollar any more? I do agree that the U.S. and China are "Frienemies". It is sort of like a love-hate relationship. The Middle East is bad enough.. No war in Asia ....please !!!

U.S. did not ratify but they did not grab any territory while China ratify but they grab territories. It means U.S. respect the laws w/c they're not signatory but China is a signatory of law of the sea but did not respect and abide the law.

Rightiousness exalts a nation but evil ruins everyone even a nation. A nation who is doing evil things can prosper for a while but will collapse forever.

Guam is peacefull with the US It is a US State. But We filipino are not peaceful in what China is Doing in Spratley. In Fact our fishermen is prevented to harvest fish on that area. It sends fear to Us It sems that China is coquering the world like what Hiter did. America liberated us from the hands of Japan in world war two.

China must clarify their boundary in legal way in accordance with the international law and respect the freedom of navigation which cover the middle of the ocean which nobody owns.
