Tell us about a project/activity you feel passionate about.
I don’t believe in motivation. It’s volatile. It is my firm belief that if you want to change the world, you have to be truly driven to do it. You have to want it so bad, that even when you don’t feel like working at it, you’ll do it anyway. I believe in building habits—-positive habits that, when persistently worked at, build towards your goals until you eventually reach them. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I had been in the darkest place I’d ever been. My mother had just left for Vietnam a month prior and was going to stay there for two more. I was alone. I began to struggle in school. I started losing sleep and wondering what I’d do with myself. While in that dark place, I found my flame. It was exacerbated by the desire to help those who were also lost and broken. Thinking about how I could help those who were stuck at home as well, I realized that I could share my drive online. I would lead by example by showing others just how much one person can accomplish when they are truly driven to do it. I tested my resolve and started producing online content where I’d study every day for 12 hours. It was a big risk. I’d have to invest a lot of money and time into something unprecedented. I was ready, however, and started on March 20, 2020. It’s now March 20, 2021. After over 300 live streams, I studied 2,880 hours and my flame is stronger than the day I started. I built a following of hard workers whose flame was ignited by mine.

I have been following James since he had 9k subs, I immediately liked the atmosphere that reminded me of the Lofi Girl : the cat, the angle, the rain sounds, the chill but hardworking ambiance.... I just wanna say that you are the most inspirational, driven streamer on YouTube, thank you for what you're doing buddy.
I wanna add this : "People don't cry because they're weak. It's because they've been strong for too long".

I usually can't study for more than 40 minutes without losing focus... But thanks to these videos I've been studying 3-5 hours a day. I can't wait for the day I can finish an entire session!

I am going to study for about 2 hours today. Also, After I study, I promise to wash my dishes and cook a good meal for myself and not just order out food and waste money again.
I am going to make good decisions for myself now. I know I can do it. So help me God in the next two hours that I will be studying. Let's do this.

James says in his description box, "Tell us about a project/activity you feel passionate about", so I'm going to share with you why I did a van conversion to move to Switzerland.

After graduating with two engineering degrees, I thought the best option for improving my future career was to move from Spain to Switzerland to start my career there working in IT.

(Here you should have the link of the medium post but if I linked it, Youtube deletes my comment. I'm going to try to link it in the first reply)

A little summary:

Considering these goals, and because the idea of starting the rat race too early and having most of my salary going towards rent didn't sound very well to me, I decided to drop most of the everyday things a recent graduate does and start thinking about other alternatives.

After weighing up how I could get my goals and acknowledge factors and barriers that could appear on the way (economic, emotional, labor, linguistic, familial, geographic, cultural, geopolitical, etc.). I decided to turn the page and convert a van, because it gives me a place to live with the capability to go where ever I want, avoiding giving capital importance to other considerations that might bother me along the way. Some of those could be the cost of renting a room, how much time I have to spend looking for a free house, or all the possible problems arising from these types of deals.

In addition to adaptability, the decision gave me time to learn other tech tools to focus better on my future career, improve my English skills, know-how the pandemic was developing to take better Post-C0VID decisions, have the possibility to spend improving my handyman skills, and the use of many tools and materials, and a great many others.

Currently, with the van almost done (you can see the photos in this post), and after know about the experience of other people trying to enter the labor market of Switzerland. I decided the best thing to do, also cause my career switch, the right choice could be to do a Bootcamp about Data Science there. It would quench my thirst for knowledge about these topics and give me the possibility to work with companies there. So, the challenge now is to pass their interviews; to be able to achieve that, I'm training both my English and my technical skills.
I could do this post as long as I want because I have a bunch of things to talk about this stuff, but I think it's enough.

Visit my post if you want to know more about it!!
