The reason most authors fail

Too many authors give up their publishing dreams too early — they don’t finish their manuscript, burn out during the revision process, or stop querying after a handful of rejections.

It’s true that out of all the people who write a book, only a fraction of them will enjoy the publishing success they hoped for. But no successful author got there by quitting.

So keep going.

Publishing is random. There is no formula for what makes a book successful, and so much of it just comes down to chance. Successful authors persevere through the disappointments, frustrations and rejections and keep putting their work out there.

It’s not easy, but that’s not why you’re doing it. You’re doing this because you have a story to tell. Remember that when the motivation wanes.

Been going over my manuscript and fixing soooo much of it here and there, god all the weird sentence structures i had to snip, had to take a break for a few days before i convinced myself that i'm garbage at this whole thing and submitting to the temptation to just delete all of it and just call it a stupid idea.
