I finally tried one of these out about a month ago for the first time in many years and I immediately felt like I had cheated myself out of something great.

I’ve gone one on the way now and I’m really excited to get it. I’m putting together my first pedalboard as well and I think this amp will do great with just about any pedal I put into it.

Great little amp. Just got one for Christmas. And a Player Telecaster. They work great together. Thanks Fender.

Gracias Toni!

If you want the drive channel to sound better, put the amp on the drive channel and turn the volume all the way up to 9 or 10 playing it for 20 minutes at full volume. When you turn it back down it will sound better. Don't know why. Worked for me. Removed farty compressed tone. Also, it helps to leave the gain at 6 and use a clean boost to drive the amp.

I got a IV last year and love it. I did the Phillip McKnight mod (changing out the first preamp tube to a 12AT7) and it sounds really amazing.

I prefer the version III with 80 W speaker. It is brighter and has right amount of overdrive.

thing with the IV is that it doesn't have the midrange III has, before anyone says 'iT's a DifFeReNt SpEaKeR', the midrange of III is why so many people liked it, it's also something 90% of the fender amps lack

You buy this amp for the clean tone and then just use pedals. Its a good building block

How do we know this is what the amp really sounds like?
Looks like it's got a microphone running to something else to me.

Does this sound any better than A PRRI Princeton for home use besides gig playing?
