its the actual AMOLED technology, there is no " backlight" to AMOLED display, they just light up each pixel when its in use, so no need to turn on a backlight to show a picture like LCD displays.

yea its amazing on amoled displays, really is fantastic.

yea because the HTC One is LCD, so again, it has to turn on the entire screen, on the s4 its amoled so it doesn't waste battery

I tested it on Nexus 7 as I said before. Now my device is with knock²+ v2 active online 12 hours and 89% energy of battery is still there. Display on: 1 hour. I think these stats are okay :) On S3 it is awesome, near no battery drain :)

He explained that he uses the S4 because of the SAMOLED display.It can turn on every pixel individualy so it'sore battery friendly.

thats app specific, apps can choose the animation type, its not throughout my system, however, custom launcher like NOVA allow you to apply different transitions across the system, not sure if that one is available though

i think the notifications switching is actually going to change from what i heard from the dev, so will have to wait and see.

PSX is about as close to stock as you can get, very little customization, but its fast! also purity is another which is very quick,

Purchased it a few weeks ago, though till now dynamic notifications pro served my needs better, but I'll see what the update will change about that

best performance and battery life? probably psx or purity, but they dont have the most customisation, kernel? you're looking at something like matr1x, trinity, faux etc

Yea, unless you have an AMOLED screen, then it hardly does anything to the battery life, if you use LCD, it has to turn the whole screen on ... so you need to be more drastic with the timeout features

Really interesting application. Would use it, if I had a AMOLED display, but it consumes too much battery on my N4.
One side note: how odd to use a slider to switch between the notification icons etc. I think a pull down menu would be more convenient...
