Hi Mr. Flynn! The answer in 1 b is wrong as it is supposed to be x < 43/5, not x = 43/5 according to mark scheme of the paper.

For Q17 could we just use the quadratic formula instead of difficult factorization to find the critical values of x then sub in the inequality signs? or would that lose marks
