How to Get Your OpenAI API Key

To get the most out of AI agents like AutoGPT and AgentGPT and even God Mode, you’ll need an OpenAI API key.

Here’s how to get yours.

If you use Microsoft products, you can use that same login. Or, you can use your Google account or other email login.

In the top right, click your avatar.

In the drop-down, click View API keys.

You can’t see the master secret key that may have already been created for you, so you’ll need to create a new one.

Click the button for Create new secret key.

In the pop up, type in a name. Use something descriptive.

I’ll name my AgentGPT Key as that’s where I plan to use this key.

Then click the Create secret key button.

Copy your key and paste it in a text file or spreadsheet or maybe with your other OpenAI account info as you’ll never be able to see this key again after you close this pop up.

And of course, never share your keys with anyone else.
