I think it's really interesting to see FSD getting confused and indecisive about what to do, exactly like a human driver might, in unfamiliar situations. Very cool!

Try Distilled Water and Rubbing Alcohol in a 50/50 mix in a Spray Bottle on the Windshield. Wipe it off with a Microfiber cloth. If you still have Hard Water residue left behind use a Scotch Bright sponge on it, then dry with the Microfiber.

I find FSD much more controllable when I have to initiate a drive by tapping on the throttle, rather then having FSD just take off after tapping the right scroll wheel.

Possibly tree resin on the windshield. If Windex doesn't work, Goo be Gone, or inexpensive cleaner Awesome Yellow at Big Lots or Dollar Tree. Peace

I have done car detailing for years. Try dawn and water. This will leave a residue. I would try had to keep this off the skin. Rinse well with water. Then clean with high end glass cleaner. If it remains, then get a clay bar and use that. The clay bar will get it clean and you wont risk damaging their glass. I would use window cleaner to lubricate the clay bar. Clay bar the glass just like you would paint.

Re: slow speed. It seems (not much experience) in my '22 MYLR w/fsd speed set to auto: If you tap/press the accelerator when slow happens, the car will move up to the local speed limit.

Thanks John. I'm with both of you on the speed thing. Fsd should at least adhere to the speed limits (getting it from Google maps) but also go at personal settings i.e Chill - speed limits only; Average - speed limits in urban and to traffic speed on high ways; assertive - to driver's preference all the time.

GENERAL FSD QUESTION:
Living on a 1/2 mile dusty gravel road, I wonder how much camera cleaning would need to be done, to keep FSD functional. Is there any indication for each camera to trigger you to clean it? If the cameras are as dirty as your window would that make it drive more cautious?

With my Model Y it always stops with the front end at the stop sign then it pulls forward. I agree that it should stop past the stop sign especially when the stop sign is 20 feet from the roadway.

Love your videos, but a new camera is sorely needed. The camera you're using blows everything out, even the display, and is just really rough to look at. Highly recommend a GoPro Hero 4K.

the awesome use case for smart summon, is if you are in a place that's hard to find parking. you just get out at the front and let the car go find parking.

Regarding the stop at the sign rather than rolling all the way to the road; unfortunately, that is the legal stop required by NHTSA. It has to be at the sign or limit line.

When making a turn close to the curb does it use 4-wheel steering on auto pilot? Or is that something you have to set in the options?
