Happy Thanksgiving from the Sacramento History Museum! Howard prints a turkey (November 28)

Happy Thanksgiving from all the staff, docents, and volunteers at the Sacramento History Museum! We are thankful for all of our members, donors, visitors, and viewers for all your support, especially these past few years.

For today, Howard letterpress printed an image from a photo engraving in our miscellaneous collection. This is one of a few turkeys in our print shop exhibit that fits the holiday. The turkey seems rather perplexed by what has been served on his plate. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852.

The Sacramento History Museum is closed today, November 28, for the holiday but we are open tomorrow and through the weekend!
