Pixel 6 Pro vs Pixel 3xl - Worth Upgrading?

With the Pixel 3 series now at the end of of its life span, is the Pixel 6 series a reasonable replacement? In this multi-part series, we will attempt to answer just that. Awesome review! Thank you for all the details. I also switched from Pixel 3XL to 6 Pro. I am still trying to accept the fact that the back finger reader is gone.

I've had my 3xl since launch and I love everything about it. Really I could probably keep using my 3xl for another year or two but since they won't be getting any more updates I'm really considering the 6 pro. Right now the things holding me back are the slower fingerprint sensor on the 6pro, the non front facing speakers, losing the free cloud storage, losing squeeze for Assistant, and the curved screen because I know screen protectors will be a pain to find. I'm just wondering if you and any input on how the switch has been in regards to those features. Like have you missed any of those features after switching or do they not make much of a difference in day to day use.

I do hate that they stop providing upgrades. Phones should last much longer.

Same phones same situation for me. My only regret is that I didn't trade my 3xl near the launch date. My 6 pro should be here tomorrow. I decided to keep my 3xl because Verizon is only giving $50 right I think for trade. Honestly the 3xl was working great for me, despite the notch. Can't wait for my pro.

I switched from Pixel 3 to the Pixel 6 pro. So far I have really enjoyed it. The camera is really good. I haven't had any problems with the battery but I don't play games on my phone. So for me it will last me all day.

I'm still not sure if I want to switch. I really need a comparison: Speed, Battery life, Camera (e.g. Indoors with yellow lighting and moving objects), Display... Are there allot of differences. Is it worth to pay 800 € or should I wait 1-2 year to get the pixel 6 pro for a much better price. I'm still really happy with my pixel 3 xl. I tried the Note 20 Ultra (around 700 €) and it was garbage. Camera was so bad (Colors, Detail, Zoom), Display was the same. Got hot when using the camera. Thank you!

I have 3 XL for almost two years now and I'm happy with it, I love it! I'm considering switch to Pixel 6, (I like 6 because it's cheaper, smaller and have flat display, but 6 Pro Cloudy White is adoption, and 4x Telephoto is awesome as well).
Anyway P3XL is killer in my opinion, just install Nacho Notch and your notch problem is solved. I love it!

How are the speakers compared to each other? Will you miss the front facing speakers?

I've upgraded a couple times. Both times I went back to the Pixel 3 xl. I think I'll stay with it until the 6 pro is cheap on ebay.

So i loved my pixel 3xl but it would ALWAYS die on me when I went out. If j went to a game? Dead. Wedding? For sure died. Party ☠️ that's the main reason why i changed and it was that way from day 1

Really appreciate your efforts for the fellow 3xl users like me. I want to know whether we can use our pixel 3xl charging brick/adapter, is it equivalent to the output of 25$ brick they are selling in Google store or we have to buy the new brick to be charged at 30w power delivery.

I'm gonna be upgrading to the 6. I'm on a budget and the 6 is more better for me financially.

I got the 3xl a year after it launched I have 2 issues with it I don't download a lot of stuff and the past month its been telling me it's running out of storage space so I clean my cach and that gives a gig and a day of usage before it tells its running of space again. The other issue I have the battery is swelling and pushing out the back. I say I have crahagered it a little less than you said you did in your vid so I am not sure why it's doing that it's like when those phones were blowing up . both these should not be happening in 3 years. however, I like the phone and am looking at the 6 pro it most likely will be my next phone. I do have some questions I have not found an answer to online so if you or anyone knows the answers it would be awesome to get some else input. 1 I am considering the 512 GB one however I don't know when you can justify $200 extra for a phone and only last 3 years and have the battery issues I am having I am trying to be real and predict this will happen again. what would you justify spending more money on it?

2. why is it verzion only has the larger space phone? I am currently with another provider that is much cheaper and doesn't have it no one but verizon has it currently you can't even get it on google unlocked. Why is did Verizon pay google for the rights for that phone? I guess my first question will answer if I should even mess with the second question. though I would like to hear theories on why verzion has it and no one else does

I'm only getting an upgrade to the 6 because I have a manger issue with the battery. And I wasn't a fan of how easily it is to leave marks on it and the screen to. I do like that fast charger being available with the phone tho. I'm getting the base Google pixel 6.

I am going to miss my 3XL. I hate the 6 Pro screen edges. I prefer the back fingerprint reader also. The 6 pro is very warm/hot compared to 3XL. I haven't taken photos or videos yet. But so far no major differences otherwise for me. The curved edge screen ugh. If I could return it for the 6 I probably would, only a small size difference, I think maybe a quarter of an inch. But if I recall some hardware differences between the 6 and pro. I have to send my 3XL in for the trade in 😥
