Ok but I find it it *deeply displeasing* how in the real episode, hooty eats them to let them into the house, implying how it's his digestive tract, but in every other instance the door works normally. And then to add to the confusion we know that hooty has a normal digestive tract so it's not like they're just passing through his mouth
