UC Davis Health has joined Elica's "health on wheels" initiative to bring quality care to low-income communities via a mobile clinic. The first provider volunteer was Andy Thompson, a UC Davis R.N. and nurse practitioner program student, who delivered primary care services at homeless shelters and schools in the Sacramento region over the course of a month. Andy described the experience as "life changing." UC Davis Family and Community Medicine residents will be the next providers to join the initiative.

this is great. I saw a scheme like this in rural Mexico, not  as well equipped. I would love to participate in this kind of project. Fantastic innovation. could be applicable to so many other demographics.
