Little Martha is the last studio track on the legendary 1972 Allman Brothers album, Eat a Peach. It was written by Duane Allman, who claimed that Jimi Hendrix taught him how to play it in a dream.

Fantastic job, Jeff! I learned this tune last year and love playing it. So much fun. I bought a Gretsch resonator just for this song, and go back and forth between it and regular acoustic.

The great thing about Little Martha is there are so many little variations you can put in to make it your own. You’ve given me some good ideas for another variation on the couple of ways I currently play it.
Thankfully guitar theft is not prosecuted, or I would already be writing this from life behind bars as a habitual offender!
