Here's some free 99 knowledge from someone who's been using DTG for years. Get the small platen, it will be worth it in the long run. Also don't get any more heat presses, just get a conveyor dryer for final curing.

Hey Reyes just wanted to share a few things if your shirt/packaging is under 16oz you can ship USPS First Class Mail (3-5 Business days) for less under $4 usually. You don't need to pay stamps.com because they have a monthly membership while you can use PayPal.com/Shipnow which is straightforward with NO monthly fee. Also Amazon sells adhesive shipping labels that you can use with your existing printer they come about 200 labels for about $13.

Don't forget the $300+ dollar per month payment on the machine. So, in reality, you only made $400 also did you happen to add in your labor costs? Because if you are selling a shirt @ $20 each, and it takes you 15-20 minutes to prep each shirt you are losing out on a lot of money. I also saw you had a helper helping to prep the shirts don't forget to add his time as well.

There are a lot of hidden costs you are not being transparent with. So before you tell your viewers to go run out and finance an 18k machine with no background or business know-how, educate them on all points of the process. Not just the profit ones.

Also if you get your business license be sure to charge the proper sales tax in your city. Just know the rules of a California sales license & Business Licence. I will cost you upwards up to $250 upfront to start, then you have to pay sales & regular tax yearly. Educate yourself on this stuff before diving headfirst.

Big tip. LOCAL ARTISTS AND BANDS NEED SHIRTS. Theyll order 50+ shirts . Its a very good market for t shirt printing.
