After suffering a family tragedy, Mack Phillips spirals into a deep depression causing him to question his innermost beliefs. A movie based on a very bad book about God's forgiveness. They relegate God to an old black woman that spouts yoda-like wisdom. I know the intent of the movie is to give hope to people that have tragedies in their lives, but it is false spirituality wrapping itself up to be Christian.
