I’m actually playing a survival world on the seed in the thumbnail rn, it’s very very far from spawn, spent my first like 5 days just trying to get there, accidentally stumbled upon an illager outpost and got bad omens then into a village and died to the raid, luckily there was a shipwreck nearby and before the raid started I ran back and place my bed and spawn point there. I gotta say, it’s quite fun actually travelling the 13000 blocks to get there, you pass by many different biomes and structures and it felt like a cool challenge living like a nomad conserving inventory space and travelling by boat and horse. When you finally get there it is very rewarding and so beautiful, I’ve set up a base on one side of the lake and all kinds of farm all around the lake and I’m thinking of building a gateway through the mountain and connecting to the village and expanding the base higher into the mountain and below ground. So far, it’s been a very beautiful and fun world to play.

I found a seed that spawns you right outside a village with 6-8 more very close by. It also has 3 or 4 ruined portals scattered between those, a small cherry grove for you to get the new wood, and two pillager outposts, one about 200 blocks from spawn and one about 600-ish blocks next to a village.

If people are interested I'll find the seed and drop it.

Edit: seed is -3593270283879066841 and I am on bedrock.

20:45 This is actually a Minecraft bedrock template seed, these people did not find it from seed hunting. If you make a world and go to templates next to the seed and then press Jagged Peaks you get this

I feel like the Plains Badlands seed is just... unnatural.
Why is the Plains so elevated? Why does it just suddenly go to Badlands without the desert in between? Shouldn't the requirements of Plains and Badlands be so different that they should've been distant from each other? Those biomes aren't acting how they should and that is interesting...

That first one is just awesome, absolutely impressive. A cherry village temple type thing near a deep dark would be a really cool base ngl.

A seed being visually ineresting is objectively better than spawining on top of a village witb 3 diamonds and a full end portal underneath it, at least for a long term world.

If its fun to look at its fun to play in. Ive made all kinds of shitty seeds work over the years, as long as ive got a nice mountain to look at all is good.

Lol yeah, some of those seeds deserved a roasting. That island with floating islands is probably a product of very low erosion, a weirdness value near +/- 0.666, a momentary blip on the continentalness to bring it out of the ocean range and decent negative cheese cave noise.

Tbh I’ve travelled pretty far in survival before ON FOOT, I’m pretty sure the closest desert on my old world was at least 10000 blocks away if I remember correctly.

I just woke up from a dream where toycat and silent whisper had gone missing in a forest after the two of them were filming a collaboration irl, and we as a community had been freaking out and worried, then suddenly after a few days, silent posted gameplay footage that revealed the two of them were being followed by someone in the woods while recording the video.
