Thanks Doug, You’re the first magician I’ve seen do the faro with your right hand on top, I thought there was something wrong with me as that’s how I prefer to do it, in every tutorial I’ve found which includes Michael Close, Joshua Jay, Steve Faulkner etc it’s always taught with the right hand on the bottom.

Oh and since I was a teenager I've always swung cut into an in-the-hands riffle shuffle (cutting the deck with a forefinger). It just looks more elegant than riffling off the thumb, in my humble opinion.

As for the one-handed Faro, that is the Devil's work and I freely confess to being envious of anyone who can do it well. I learned it from one of the Paul Harris Art of Astonishment volumes, but can only ever seem to do it when no-one's looking. 😂

I don't do tabled routines much, but when I do I like to dribble the cards messily in a V-shape and push them together from the tip of the V, preserving the full deck order. If you don't draw any attention to it, it's a nice way to fake a wash while retaining a full-deck stack. I got the idea from someone on YouTube so am not sure who invented it. If you know, then I'd sure appreciate a name drop so I know who to credit. 😉
