There will never be another band like them. They were so unique. So happy I got to see them twice. Memories I will treasure for the rest of my life.

My 12 year old loves The Cars. She really got into them during the pandemic and I once offhandedly said it was so sad that Ben and Ric passed away. We we listening to I An Not The One. She cried so much. She said its such wonderful music. She is absolutely right, the world lost 2 underrated legends.

I’m 71 now and enjoy their music more than ever. They bring gladness to my heart.

The Cars were so far ahead of their time, 2020+ doesn’t deserve music like this.

Easton's guitar solo is one of the best ever

This is my favorite Cars song by far. The crazy rhythm, the chorus and that Easton guitar solo. Excellent. The original video - with the merry go round - is kind of an early classic. I always thought Ric Ocasek looked like Spock. Didn't sound like him, but definitely looked like him.

I saw the cars live in Houston in the late seventies . They sounded just like their records. One the few bands that did.

This is a brilliant song. Start the bass and drums in 5/4 and do the guitar, vocals and keyboard in 4/4. Master class in polymeter.

It does not matter whether you are a Cars fan or not. This is live, this is as tight as it gets. For any band, I mean that is one take record material. That was perfectly done.

Friday's was a great show. I remember being so excited about it each week. This is when all of SNLs talent jumped ship from the original cast and Friday's got all the best musical acts because they were in L.A.

Great band... and as a drummer, I love seeing the old school bank of 8 "Syndrums!"

Kids, you are watching serious musicians. They are so tight and so unique for that time. This was the breakout of the new wave era and they were the best of them.

Easton’s guitar playing is just fantastic. Would not have not been as great a band without him.

No party in 1979 was complete without "The Cars" album! ❤

Phenomenal band, so many incredible songs. Elliot Easton and Greg Hawkes provided stellar musicianship, Ric Ocasek wrote their legendary songs and David Robinson always provided an impeccable beat. Ben Orr tied the whole thing up with killer bass lines and amazing vocals on many of their best songs. It doesn't get any better than The Cars!

I was substituting in a middle-school class in like 1984 or so and I complained there was no good rock and roll anymore. A girl in the class told me I should listen to the Cars. Something about her sincerity and enthusiasm made me give them a try and I was amazed. What a discovery, and thanks to a middle-school girl!

Got to love how Ben doesn’t try to be front and center, just hangs in the back being cool
