Sonic Mania - Sonic CD Walking Animation Mod (Download)

This mod changes Sonic's walking animation to have no bounciness to it, just like the one from Sonic CD.

It's probably not something many people would want or need, but I figured it's nice to have the option. More mods coming soon!

I might update this mod to work with Tails, & Knuckles if possible.

This works with ManiaModStudio, I'm not sure about any other modloaders though.

The CD running looks interesting, it's like Sonic's too cool for his animation to make sense in a spacial environment.

Bouncy looks realistic but no bouncy looks smooth af and soft

Honestly, the bouncy wall looks more natural. The no bouncy one makes Sonic look kinda robotic

Really nice mod that makes the game better, I noticed it as well but I didn't know what the effect was called (you called it bounciness so I'll go with that)

I just thought of some crazy theory about why Sonic CD has that walking animation! It must be because of the environment in the Little Plant!

Anyway, I do remember feeling that Sonic CD's animations looked differently, but I could never quite pinpoint what it was.

Its so weird that they did that. Sonic 1 already existed at the time so there was no reason for them to water down the animation or use an older version, yet they went through the extra effort anyway
