I'm ahead of the maxi skirt trend! I don't have one with a slit, but I did sew several slip skirts last year. I'm borderline obsessed with the silhouette. So flattering.

My version of the maxi skirt is wide-legged, flowy full-length culottes. You get the drama of the long piece but feels more “me” than a skirt. Also the “ split” between the two legs gives, I think, the same visual interest as a slit in a skirt.

Fantastic video. I agree with you on all but one of the fashion trends. I have a very petite frame but I love baggy jeans. I usually wear mom jeans or boyfriend jeans. I wear them with a medium weight jumper tucked in with a bomber jacket or long coat or a t-shirt with the bomber jacket. I can successfully get my tiny proportions to look pretty much balanced.

I do like wide leg and flare legged jeans. However, I’m not into anything oversized. I think it makes me look like a little kid. I agreed with most of your opinions except the cargo pants, love BR cargos and I love acid green. I will add I’m definitely a girl that loves bright color. My closet looks like a rainbow! 🌈

I've never been a fan of anything oversized, to me it is not elegant and If you are struggling with a little extra weight, it makes you look bigger. I remember bubble skirts in the 80s/90s. Again, it can be cute, but never elegant. This all depends on your personal style. Well said about trends being over the top & impractical.

I'm 5'4" so a few of these don't work for me anyway. I tend to agree with you on all these except the bubble look wouldn't be me at all. I'm a full-hip old lady. LOL. And I never looked good in most cargo pants because the pockets make my thighs look even bigger.

Baggy jeans, low waist anything, ridiculous cuts, neon green, super oversized I'll pass this year and in any year these are trendy. I have some wide leg jeans that I love, but with high waste and I wear them with heels, so my legs are looking loong in them. I totally wait for tailored anything, maxi skirts and dresses with deep slits. All the other trends are in the "maybe" category for me.
