Before a health care professional can conduct any medical procedure or intervention they need to obtain a patient's informed consent.

In general, informed consent is when a patient voluntarily agrees to a proposed medical intervention or treatment after being reasonably informed about said intervention or treatment.

In this video I cover what is needed for a patient to give valid informed consent.

In my decades of advocating for someone that does NOT have “capacity” to make informed decisions, hence cannot, hence should not, have their “consent” accepted by medical and legal persons as “sufficient consent”, none, not one, even to the highest levels of surgeons, and judges, have ever once questioned if he is capable to give consent, and proceeded to do all they want to him.

I say this is heinous crimes of abuse.

Or only for severe surgery we should go for informed consent ?
