Germany looked very impressive. Free-flowing & pretty flawless, particularly in that first-half. Some excellent finishing too. Scotland weren't great, granted, but Germany looked as good as I can remember any nation looking in the curtain-raiser match of a tournament.

I said it before the tournament started, if musiala and Wirtz fire on all cylinders they would be formiddable. Disappointed with Scotland's approach, didn't really go for it at all, the goal difference might cost them if they win in the other two games.

Outcoached; that was it. Nagelsmann gave them hunger, belief and aggression. And there is a team. That was all great to see but all of a sudden we are THE favorite to win it all... b/s. A few months ago everyone in Germany was afraid we could go out in group stage. And there is the problem with Germany. One good game and the hype begins. But one loss against Hungary (which is entirely possible, remember the loss against South Korea 2018 or the underwhelming matches against Greece and Ukraine after the hyped victories against France and The Netherlands) and the chastising begins, doubt creeps in, tremor starts. It is a cliché but true: The next game is always the most difficult.
