Christmas in Vienna 2019

Das traditionelle Weihnachtskonzert "Christmas in Vienna" aus dem Wiener Konzerthaus verzaubert alljährlich mit klassischen Weihnachtsliedern und populärer Weihnachtsmusik aus aller Welt. Beim diesjährigen Konzert werden die österreichische Sopranistin Beate Ritter, die französische Mezzosopranistin Marianne Crebassa, der kanadisch-deutsche Tenor Michael Schade und der dänische Bariton Bo Skovhus gemeinsam mit den Wiener Sängerknaben und der Wiener Singakademie auf Weihnachten einstimmen. Begleitet werden die Stimmen vom ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien unter der Leitung von Sascha Götzel. Für die Bildregie zeichnet Felix Breisach verantwortlich.

The traditional Christmas concert "Christmas in Vienna" from the Wiener Konzerthaus enchants every year with classic Christmas carols and popular Christmas music from all over the world. At this year's concert, the Austrian soprano Beate Ritter, the French mezzo-soprano Marianne Crebassa, the Canadian-German tenor Michael Schade and the Danish baritone Bo Skovhus together with the Vienna Boys' Choir and the Vienna Singing Academy will set the mood for Christmas. The voices are accompanied by the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna under the direction of Sascha Götzel. Felix Breisach is responsible for the image direction.

Still my favourite Christmas concert. Great variety of classical and pop seasonal favourites. Everything about this presentation is first class, from the musical selections to the lighting and camera angles.

Best of all, the performers all seem to be enjoying it as well!

Canadian 🇨🇦 tenor Michael Schade started with Schubert, Offertorium @ 36:50 G F Handel Every Valley Shall be Exalted, from the Messiah. @1:00:30 Canadian Ojibwa Christmas Carol known as the Huron Carol sung as a duet with the orchestra and choir. @ 1:13 all were singing and I was so into it, the program to the end! Merry Christmas everyone 🌲🎶💞in 2022
