High Line New York Walking Tour (Guided)

The High Line is a park that is 1.45 miles (2.33 km) and runs through several neighborhoods – Greenwich Village, the Meatpacking District, Chelsea, and Midtown Manhattan.

The park is built on an elevated commercial rail line constructed in 1934. By 1980, the railroad was no longer operating and the tracks were abandoned.

In 2006, a non-profit organization repurposed the tracks into a public greenspace and High Line was born.

Spending time in this unique park with amazing views is one of the most popular activities in NYC.

I find these tours quite educational and informative. What I can do without however is this guide's constant giggling at her own comments. It clearly distracts from the experience and makes the tour a little amateurish.The guide clearly knows her history and seems very enthusiastic about her work. I think a little less giggling would elevate, much like the High Line, the tour to a whole new level.
