Perarivalan's Message To Rajiv Gandhi Family And Others: 'I Am A Victim Too'

I am also a victim of Rajiv Gandhi assassination, that's what Perarivalan, the life convict in the case, who the Supreme Court set free yesterday after 31 years in jail had to say when asked for his message to families of Rajiv Gandhi and others who lost their loved ones in the suicide bomb attack that killed the former Prime Minister. Perarivalan spoke to NDTV's J Sam Daniel Stalin on the top court order, his views on the demand for release of other six convicts in the same case and the public perception that he is the assassin.

The Message from Perarivalan release is 1) First thing is he is not innocent, Court has clearly indicated as guilty. 2) As an Human being, he has been tortured, went through various trials, lot of interrogation by city police to CBI to Jailers. This is huge pain for him as he is being punished very heavy for 31 years 3) the efforts of his parents especially by his mother was fighting spirit, she didn't let any wrong word about murder instead she fought hard to get his son release as his punishment is very heavy..

Request all not to celebrate him as celebrity for achieving something and also not to curse him for his guilty in Rajiv Gandhi case.

we should leave him to live his rest of his life as an normal human being, keep asking the questions will not fetch anything for anybody.

This becomes a closed chapter by respected Supreme court, so we need to leave it and let them go for their life.
