European excavator bucket quick change system

After working in Canada for a year i experienced what i believed to be an inferior bucket quick change system that is used in all of North America. The old North American wedge and bolt system had been adapted to suit a hydraulic bucket quick change system which didnt allow the bucket to be reversed. I also noticed how the North American buckets are more easily damaged at the top linkage where the bucket attaches

I've got an EASCO quick coupler on a 40 ton LB hoe. It runs an 11, 000lb crusher jaw shovel and is attatched like that system in the video. The pins are a PITA. They bend, they spin, they break the retainer bolts. I need to weld and re-weld them multiple times a year. For some reason my system uses a bushing to mate the bucket pins to the attatchment plate which just makes everything worse. But really, its the only type of quick coupler I've ever had experience with.

Lots of machines here in America have that type of coupler.

I think I like this system better.. I'll build one for one of my machines that has nothing.

The pin grabber system was tried years ago in the West Coast logging road building scene many years ago, but they kept breaking pins on the bucket and it robbed the bucket of valuable break out power,
