Seraphim description of being a serpent with wings that spits fire, is easely better pictured as a dragon. With the dragon from the myths and stories all of the seraphim descriptions are met.

serpent, wings and fire... sounds like a dragon. We know the ‘serpent’ in Genesis was cursed ‘to crawl and eat dust’. so satan had legs!

The reasons why most theologians chose burning over serpent is that apart from the name, no serpent like feature is given to them. They had hands, feet, and basically described like a person. Also Seraph primarily means burning and is given to burning/poisonous snakes.
The word נחשׁ⁠
Transliteration: nâchâsh
Is what literally means snake (see
Gen 3:1) and was used for snakes that are not burning/poisonous.

Seraphim being some sort of fiery serpent does make sense when you consider the Serpent in the Garden and the Dragon from Revelations, at least if Satan is supposed to be a Fallen Angel.

the four faces are represenitive to the characteristics of Christ, The lion=royalty bc he's the King of kings, the man=humanity/Christ is all man, the eagle=diety/Christ is all God, the ox he was sacrificed for us

Up to 6:19 we have some good research, appealing animation, and notes pulled together notes on how the Bible describes seraphim, cherubim, and "living creatures"... along with information about snakes in Egypt that may or may not be relevant. At 6:19, the "living creatures" in Rev. are referred to as "cherubim" without explanation for how that identification was reached (they share certain characteristics with both seraphim and cherubim). After that, the conclusions are more speculative. Are all these creatures throne guardians? They were all near God's throne, but that doesn't make them guardians of it. Gen. 3:24 and Ezek. 28 speak of cherubim as guardians, but in Gen. 3 they're guarding the way to the tree of life, and in Ezek. 28 the only location mentioned is "the holy mount of God, " "among the fiery stones." Seraphim are not described as guardians at all in the Bible. The silliness about taking shifts seems only to serve as mockery, rather than evidence. The rest of the video unfortunately leaves the Bible behind and presents the author's interpretations. Calling a position "literalism" doesn't make it so. Maybe the Bible's descriptions of these creatures really just mean what they say. What's the justification for interpreting them symbolically?
That being said, I appreciate Dr Heiser's work in sharing what he has learned and his efforts to help others be more biblically informed. I wish he were still with us to engage in discussion. Maybe he has even now met these living creatures, and knows more about them than we ever will in this life.

I study Sanskrit. Sanskrit has always fascinated me because it is considered to be one of the first languages of the world. Sanskrit also has distant relations with Hebrew as well. In the Sanskrit language, "Sarpa" means serpent and "paksin", describes a bird's wings.

I know most people won't believe this but I have actually seen one of these in my bedroom. I was once lying in bed and I had been under tremendous stress and in a lot of prayer, I was under heavy attack from the Enemy.

I was praying and starting to drift off to sleep when when I seen the cherubim in the room. It was about a foot off the floor hovering.

The body looked like a cube shape because it was tucked in so tight, with its legs and wings wrapped around itself that it made a cube shape around itself, not a perfect cube shape but nearly.

It was nearly translucent and when I looked at its head it had, the face of an ox, the face of a man, the face of a lion and the face of an eagle could be seen.

The funny thing was all the faces where there within each other, kind of like when you look at a hologram and you slightly move your head, you see different things appearing but I was not moving my head just my focus in and out or I will blink and either way, when I did this, one of the faces would stand out more.

You would blink and the face of a man would stand out, you would bring out your focus to look at the body and then back to the head and the face of an eagle would stand out.

Even though their faces were still there one face was more prominent than the other at any one time. I believe God sent that there to protect me because the enemy was out for my life because of the stance on Gods word and what I was preaching.
