I prefer Tenkaichi 3 overall, I love the slower gameplay yet I feel like you can do a lot more in Tenkaichi 3

BT3 for me feels like the stronger hits have more impact and the bigger beam size makes them look dynamic and deadful. And for ME the 25fps movement character feels better that the fluid hits on SZ. Also the Z-counter feels more pleasent when done

The thing that I don't like about SZ is that the SFX has very little/no impact compared to BT3

Is it wrong that i think BT3 is better then sparking zero?

My main gripe with SZ (besides the jank) is that the sfx is barely there. A lot of the things that should sound loud like the kamehameha explosions are very quiet.

I like how sparking zero clearly took inspiration from not only tenkaichi 3 but also other games like kakarot, fighterz and raging blast. Its like they were clearly dead set on making the perfect db game

Animations are better and closer the anime with t3 ! We can feel the power, the strength in t3 because all movements don't take the same time to be used. 5:41
In SZ all is with equal speed without taste, and the angle of vision are really bad to appreciate the show. We can't feel the weight of the characters, that miss really impact while the hand fight. Even the sound effects are better in t3 it is ridiculous !

The only thing which is better in SZ is the character models and the facial animations. All the rest is better in T3. Even the grass and the textures are ugly in SZ because we have draws in realistic environnement, that doesn't work !

we missed out one major feature, the vanishing clash mid air. This is the clash where we press the displayed circle, sq, triangle, X, and they clash mid air and correct presses determines the winner post clash. This BT3 feature was seen during story modes. Im not sure if its possible to initiate it ourselves

0:25 why does Vegeta not even breaking the floor sound more devastating than Goku Black being slammed aggresively lmao.

I feel so good to be a classic Dragon Ball Z tenkaichi 3 player because the game still feels so familiar with the classic controls. I'm really glad they made this game and thank you for the comparison. It's like watching good old grandpa and his grandson 😂💯

9:25 The counter revenge is the only thing i want, because in this game if you don't have ki you gonna eat all the enemies attacks from behind you.

Well,
Again,
I will say that BOTH GAMES ARE GOOD IN THEIR OWN WAY,

WE HAVE TO STOP TRYING TO FIT A BALL INTO A ONE HOLE PEG IF YOU WILL

One thing that you haven done is compare sparking mode in each game. In BT3 if you were in sparking mode you could do certain specials as more of a quick time move. You can’t do that in sparking zero.

I would pay for a classic sound effects pack those old thuds are so great

Hot take but i really like the close quarters approach when it comes to combat in SZ it feels a lot more swift in that game when it comes to dodging and weaving. HOWEVER, the one thing the game couldve done better on is as punchier sfx and slight camera shake to sell the inpact on moves like shown in BT3. To be fair here BT3 was on the PS2 so its effects were more compressed

Is Crash Impact that new of a feature? Didn't BT3 have it as a step-in or vanish clash?

Everything is a giant upgrade from the original!

The game modes of tenkaichi 3 are what made it so great in so many peoples minds. It was the characters, but it was the unlimited ways you could use the characters. It kind of gets old doing tournaments over and over by yourself. There couldve been survival challenges added, or more battles from the series. I do love the editor mode, even though i havent invested the time in it. I see the potential to make any fight or what if scenario, but its kind of tedious. Im not dogging the game. But it didnt live up to my expectations. The destruction in the environments was lacking at best, which is ironic considering thats what the game was promoted on. It has potential to be the best, but on launch, its not the best dragon ball game ever. Thats ludacris. Give it a year or 2, then we will talk. It still needs some work on the online battles, maps, characters, etc. I think any problem that is presented with the game, will be fixed through updates and dlc. Making a perfect game at launch is unrealistic anymore.
