Rainey Street at Night (A walking tour of Austin, Texas)

Rainey Street is a super popular area of Austin. It's a little strip of bars, food trucks, condos, and live music venues located just North of the Colorado river and east of I-35. It's the fastest growing area of Austin, with multiple new towers being built and cranes all around. The defining feature of the area are the small single family homes that have been turned into bungalow bars. Some popular places include Tipsy Alchemist, UnBARlievable, Icenhaurs, Idle Hands, Stagger Lee. I ended up checking out Canned Beets playing at Half Step and they put on a great show. Industry is where I ended up having my gig, it's located across the highway just below east East 6th Street. Good times.
