well now I've gotta go and change my gutters first because there's no way they won't buckle if I twist the ladder wrong

Or just make sure you check how secure the ladder is before you climb it. It’s still a fear though lol. Doing roofing always stressed me out. It absolutely sucks and its too damn hot on the roof

My gutters aren't strong enough for that. The lasder is heavy and bends them even if the ladder is at the correct angle
