Artwork by Haegue Yang | Kochi Muziris Biennale 2022-23

Sonic Droplets - Steel Buds (2022) by Haegue Yang consists of more than 100,000 stainless steel bells. A five-part curtain divides the room into four distinct transitional sections while incorporating two columns within its sonic field.

As viewers walk through the curtain, their movements activate the bells, creating sounds analogous to the aural natures of multiple ceremonial practices, both spiritual and secular.
