The scene with Kate guiding her brothers in to ”looking at their mother”: gently brushing her hair and moisturizing her aged hands, made me realize my own mortality. It was then that the tears came.

I started to break down when Beth spoke to Rebecca at her bedside. This is what happened to me with my grandmother when I lost her in 2017. I'm not ready to say goodbye to the Pearsons. One of the best shows in television history.

Mandy Moore’s portrayal of a dementia patient was totally spot on. I took care of my mom with Alzheimer’s for several years. It is a relentless heart wrenching disease. I saw my mom’s eyes in Ms. Moore’s, almost uncanny resemblance. Oscar worthy! I will miss this show thoroughly.

This series is made from the heart. Always humbles me whenever i see the two phases of life, Where Rebecaa takes care of her children and now the children are taking care of her. I pray that God will grant my parents a healthy life and i also be given the blessing to take care of them in their old age. I am not ready to let the Pearsons go so i am binge watching again from the first season but it doesnt make me feel any better because the series is just so honest that i cant stop myself from getting emotional and putting myself in their shoes. This is us will be missed.
