it's very adhd of me to not even realise that I might have it I guess lol

In all seriousness I do worry about not getting the help in time for my studies, but at least I can search for ways to cope on the internet now :-)

Your waiting time problem is one I had too. I had to put my studies on hold. It did help to get on meds and get therapy.

I also wish someone noticed this stuff when I was a child. Sadly, I was just smart enough to get passable grades in everything without really trying, so there was no reason to ring up the parents about bad grades.

One ADHD tip I have for you is to make your life as simple as possible. Only have the minimum amount of material possessions you can't live without. Every item that you own is one more thing you have to deal with, one more distraction. A car is an annual MOT, insurance, tax, scheduled maintainance, unexpected breakdowns, people asking you to drive them to places etc. etc. etc.

Same applies to people. They need your time and attention, and cos of ADHD you can't resist them. Keeping a bit of distance from all but your best friends is a good way to go IMO.

So happy for you! I received my autism diagnosis in February and I still struggle with anger about my late diagnosis. I highly recommend the YT channel How to ADHD, the content is great.

Ohhh my god. I've had my suspicions about myself having ADHD for a couple weeks now, and I paused on that bit of the form you showed and I would've answered the exact same way.

Hey! I think that you should really talk to your college nurse. The College and the University do have systems in place and they should be able to support you.

- Book GP
- Write date down
- Tell him/her that I suspect I have ADHD and want a diagnosis
