He was quite dumb in the movies but who wasn't, he was much smarter and accurate in the books

He's incredibly intelligent himself, hence how he managed to kill voldemort, slay the basilisk, destroy all voldemort's hocruxes, survived every horrific event mostly on his own when he was a kid . He's very very brave aswell

I mean he was a pretty good student in the books, except for Potions maybe, and even being extremely skilled in DADA, being able to teach other students in his 5th year at hogwarts. I mean, producing a patronus at age 13 is impressive, but teaching other students to do the same at age 15 is worth mentioning aswell

Honorable mention. He figured out that Hagrid was being manipulated by Quirrel when he realized a stranger conveniently offers him a dragon egg that he wanted on the condition that he tells him how to get past fluffy. Something even Hermione didn't figure out. Keep in mind it's in both the book and movie.
