Thank you so much for being such a great educator! You teach in a way that doesn't come off as "preachy" or "condescending". I love that I always finish watching your videos with more information than I expected. I'm currently canning again after a 30 year hiatus, and love your free lists that help me plan for food security in the most practical way possible.

You are such a blessing. You have taught me so much, and my children love it when I holler, “Miss Mary has a new video!” My son is also profoundly dyslexic, and he loves to see your son on videos with you! It encourages him (and me) to see someone 9 years ahead of him with such vibrancy. And thank you to your dear husband who helps you accomplish this great treasure trove of helpfulness!

Many of us have been with you a good while, but so many people are waking up about this area. Do not worry about doing subjects you many have previously done. Each video will be unique. Those of us who have been at this a while still benefit from review.
Emphasizing starting small is important. I started a little at a time. I started with bone broth. On canning, I did green beans first because they were cheap and on sale, no big investment if messed them up. (I didn't!) I started putting back a can or package at a time. I started scouring local online sites and collecting useful things free or cheap. I dehydrated frozen veggies. I can do so much more NOW, but then it was one thing at a time.
Over the last few crazy years, I went from food insecurity to being able to survive over a year on what I have in my house now.

A suggestion... Do a series on what can be done for meals and prep pantry, for a family, out of a type food bank box. How to create variety and stretch the contents. There are almost always items that some people will toss because they don't know what to do with them. Kids won't eat plain oatmeal? What about simple oatmeal cookies? A bag of beans? How to make that kid friendly.

Also, how to take a basic recipe and adjust for different family needs, typical eaters, elders with chewing/swallowing difficulty, picky kids... what can be done that still keeps the food enjoyable.

Hi my sweet friend. I would like to know a little bit more about condiments. I love condiments garlic, onion, horseradish Etc how you would make them maybe even dehydrate them together I don't know but I would love to be able to have something that I didn't have to keep in the refrigerator because we've lost power so much this winter woke up one morning and it was zero degrees in here and our power had gone out. The comforter was actually Frozen thank goodness for the dogs and their body heat. Also could you cover a little more about vinegars. I'm really trying a lot this year about that. I've tried fresh and I've tried dehydrated I know which one has worked best for me but I would like to know your take on it. I hope your family is doing well I hope to see Ben more on your channel. I love that name, after all I named my first son that. Love all the work you put into your videos and look forward to them I haven't been commenting as often as I used to but that's just a personal thing I'm going through right now but it is that I'm not watching because I am. Happy New Year

What a blessing is your YouTube channel. I have learned so much from you over the years. We ferment, we preserve, we dehydrate and freeze dry, we make sourdough, we make kombucha and bone broth, we grow and raise much of our own food, we make and keep herbal remedies, and yet there is so much more to learn. I have only dabbled in the dairy end of things—making yogurt and kefir but not stepping much yet into the cheeses. I’d love to learn more in this area as well as how you fit dairy culturing and cheese making into your routine. But my biggest stumbling block in all of this is how to make serving traditional foods a consistent reality in the busyness of daily life. It’s one thing to prep and can and preserve and set up the traditional foods, but it’s quite another thing (for me at least) in the midst of daily on-the-go homeschooling life with a big family to avoid resorting to frozen pizza or picking up something at a restaurant when the day is particularly busy or spins out of control. That is my biggest question: What are the tips and techniques and things to have on hand to ensure that regular, daily traditional meals happen even when life is zany? 😊😂 Thank you for ALL you do. You are a gem!

Would love to see more shopping and gardening videos! If you could amplify your voice on those types of videos, that would make it easier to hear you teach us. 👌

I am a manly man but I've always enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with my mom and grandmother and now spend a lot of time cooking for my son. I'm making my own kombucha now thanks to you and enjoy your videos! Thanks so much!

Sweet Mary, it is such a blessing that I have found your channel. White sugar and flour send my body into painful inflammation. Can you show us traditional cooking with low or no white sugar? Thank you and God bless you and yours.

I have been watching your videos for years now. Thank you for all your information. I started watching when I got an instant pot. You were an inspiration with that. I had it for 6 months before I used it. It was a present and scared me. I just love it now. Love all your videos

I bought many cans of tomatoes for my emergency pantry. Of these eight have all expired with a June 2022 BB date. I believe you had a post talking about canned food that is safe after the BB date. Before I throw these away I wanted to ask.
