Carving Tools - KUTZALL Shaping Disk REVIEW!!

I love my carving tools! First time using the Kutzall Shaping Disk in the Coarse on my chainsaw Carvings. Is it worth it or is it not? Just ordered the kutzall extreme medium shaping disc to shape some giant black cherry burls. Hoping it doesn’t wear out too quick

If it gets clogged up you hit it with a torch real quick to burn all the wood out of it and keep going again.

Carving and shaping discs are a couple of the most dangerous tools in your shop. Best thing since sliced bread one minute...Boy, I miss my finger, hand, eye the next. Never ever use without guard, heavy gloves, or heavy eye/face protection. You can't be too careful with these! That said...they can be great time savers and produce good results.

These are great tools and much safer than some designs, but seriously that loose grip ( filming purposes or not ) could get you into trouble , especially with your face in such close proximity! And the inertia of even a small grinder would make short work of you safety glasses. On a positive note, nice sculpture! And maybe do a follow-up on how the tool holds up over time…👀😄💪🏻

I recently purchased the kutzall original disc for some blackthorn sticks I’m working on..the wood just seems to burn and go black with absolutely no stock removal ..
