'Let It Hurt' was one of the first pieces of music written for Nectar, and its composition was a dramatic catalyst for the way the rest of the album would turn out; writing and listening back to 'Let It Hurt' gave us immediate and intuitive visions of some of the new ground Nectar was to cover. This album is highly nostalgic and sentimental, with so much variety of atmospheres, accompanied by smooth textures and soothing ambiental piano melodies...but so subtly blended, that otherworldly Tom's vocals are shining through the center of this masterpiece.
Vikram really is an extraordinary musician, a real musical gem.
By my opinion Silent Skies is where we can find the best of Vikram's and Tom's worlds.
