I feel that with drop shipping, the barriers to entry are now too low. Unless you have a super exceptional product with a patent or a moat, its not worth it. You want to be in a field where the barriers to entry are higher. At the beginning of the century, rappers were making huge profits by launching clothing lines and were literally just slapping their brands on t-shirts. BabyPhat, Rock-a-wear, Sean John, FuBu...(the older viewers will remember ;-). It worked! why? because it was kinda difficult! you had to find a producer, deal with distribution, pre-fabricate....etc. Then, came these platforms which offered on-demand printing and which allowed anyone to upload their graphics and create a store, (like Cafe press or Spread shirt...). The barriers to entry were suddenly super low. Anyone could do it easily. Okay, so what is the result? the result is that now, nobody cares anymore. Rappers are no longer doing that because anyone can do it. Its kinda the same with drop shipping. Ask yourself...do you want to be the 1 millionth person dropping bathroom scales onto amazon? It has kinda become a thing teenagers do in their free-time.

i wish i had seen this video before I started my dropshipping store. I lost about 500$ and made no sales. I spent 2 months in product hunting. Made an Excel sheet of products that had potential and products that met sales strict criteria. I even contacted two top-rated sellers on Amazon and asked them to critically analyze these products and then I selected two products and started my Shopify dropshipping store, Website and everything looked very professional yes. Sadly no Sales!

So you tried 1 product, ONE, and hoped to get results?? Dropshipping is not a get rich fast or easy money business. Like any business, needs knowledge, time, effort and consistency. You can find free content which explains A to Z how to make it in this business. You were in the right path, but so many optimizations need to be done in your strategy (product, store, ads).
